This brass thread adaptor connects modern 3/4 inch BSP (Hozelock / Gardena type) garden hose pipe quick connect fittings to the outlet of your older outside tap.

Both ends of the connector have a male 3/4 inch BSP outer thread. One end has a 5/8 inch BSP female inner thread (rare size), the other a 1/2 inch BSP female inner thread.

Great for old hose union bib taps with the less common 1/2 or 5/8 inch BSP size outlet threads.

I can’t say how delighted I am that I FINALLY FINALLY found an adapter for my outside tap. I’ve tried so many sources and companies but nothing was working and my garden has suffered. We moved into a new house months ago and have been banging our heads against a brick wall until now to find the right size adapter for an old sized tap. After trying a hozelock mixer tap adapter which didn't really work without shooting water everywhere, this adapter fits the old tap perfectly and I can now add a standard click on hozelock without any problems. Perfect !Keith Armstead (22 May 2018, 17:09)

Outside tap adapter

I have an older type garden tap with an imperial half inch thread. When I originally bought a hozelock hose it came with a black adapter that fitted. The white adapters are metric. A severe frost killed this off and I have not found this adapter even after searching for months. This well made brass adapter fitted straight away and has cured the drips I had from a hozelock 'fits all' adapter. Speedy delivery, so a well satisfied customer.Mick (1 May 2018, 13:17)

Less than 24 hours from order to delivery, from N Ireland to S England. Credit to Stevenson and Royal Mail. Adapter is well finished and very useful. It’s use for garden taps has been well documented here, but the adapter can also be used to change the gender of flexi hoses.
